Whilst many staff took redundancy with the school review and merger, JT chose to continue - now into his 42nd year of teaching at this wonderful school. His latest mission is to write a play about James Hargest- the man- and is starting research for this venture. And yes, Les Cockram, we did get married in Port Douglas in 2002- after a brief 16 years together - time f

| 23. | Well the last time I saw old Tucker was years ago at McD's getting a feed where I was telling him about how I wet to his funeral!! That's right, probably the most dumbest thing I've done in my life but I was told that he was truly dead!! I was kinda surprised that there wasn't a big write up in the paper about it but out of respect for a great teacher, I went along to say farewell. Wasn't until I arrived in the foyer of the funeral and saw a lovely big photo of some man who didn't really look like the Mr T |

| 24. | Well, Mr Tucker was never my favourite teacher - probably because our class was the one responsible for all those spitballs on the ceiling (room F2 I think it was) I always found him somewhat nasty when he cracked those wooden metre rulers down on the table beside you to get your attention. And sockless-shoes... Anyway, glad you're helping to keep Hargest ticking Mr Tucker. |
