My wee story goes back to when I was just a twinkle in my Dads eye. A gentleman worked with my Dad in Invercargill at the Majestic theatre. My Dad was the projectionist there. To this day he still remembers my Dad. Now Dad's been gone for a lot of years and it's nice that the family is not only the one that remembers him for the kind ways.

Old Friends,
What a amazing site!
I have been contacted by our neighbours who now are in Australia, just by them seeing my name on this site. Our Parents were really good friends. They are all in their 80's and 90's now. It has at least let them know they are okay as well. We are in England now that is how we all lost touch. Keep up the good work and thank you for setting this site up. Posted by: Lynn Hilton |
Thanks to this fabulous website I have found my old high school friend who I have not seen or heard from in 28 years. Her brother noticed that I was looking for her when he was online and told her about it. She emailed me and we are now going to the Lynfield College 50th School Reunion being held Anzac weekend. Dear Old Friends,
Last year I organised a Reunion for 2 Dunedin School Classmates - from Macandrew Bay 1952/53 and First Day Pupils of Bayfield High [1961. Your site proved very valuable for helping to locate people from long ago. I managed to locate almost all ex students, with your site helping immensely along the search.
Our November Reunion was a huge success.

Thanks to old friends. I've found several school mates and a work mate. I found the workmate first and we've been in contact after 42 yrs, and it turns out his sister was in my class at tech. Then another friend signed onto the site and I was contacted and he put me in touch with a friend of both of ours (we use to double date). The one who contacted me actually came back to NZ for a holiday in feb and visited with his wife. It was great to catch up. Then he gave me a ph no and email address of someone else and her and I have been in contact, and just last week she sent me a school photo of which I never had, and wouldn't you know I know most names after all these years. Since then I've had calls from several others and sent emails to a few to give them the emails of others and so at the moment weve all been emailing back and forth and today after I send this im uploading that school photo and you never no someone else might get in touch, so thanks so much for your site. Dear OldFriends,
It was really a memorable and unforgettable moment to see for yourself and meet my long lost penpal – Donna Newcombe who resided in Mosgiel, SI when I contacted her back in 1975/6 (almost 30 over years ago). She (Donna Conlay) now live in Auckland, NI, NZ – I met her in 9th.April 2007 during our visit/trip to Otago University in Dunedin. Thank you to OldFriends.co.nz for fulfilling my desire to see her in person ! By the way, I am Khadijah Adam from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia ! Posted by: Khadijah Adam |

Thanks to Old Friends after many years of searching we have finally found my partners sister. She is living in Sydney, its the best xmas present a person could receive.
We plan to go there and meet her in the new year.
We are currently building on a great relationship through msn, lots to catch up on. It's been 25 years since we last heard from her.
Once again thank you Old Friends Posted by: Margaret Field |
Hi there & congratulations for providing an awesome site bringing together family & friends from all over the world - absolutely amazing! I have been able to contact people I went to primary school with and vice versa so of course the years have passed! It's quite ironic, I'm sure many people at some stage have often wondered "Whatever happened to so & so..". Now, because of you, we all have the opportunity to actually reach out and get in touch. Great job - much appreciated.

Thanks to OldFriends I continue to get back in touch with friends I lost contact with. My best friend Rangataua posted comments in lost and found and yeah we keep in touch more now. I also have created friendships, and mostly built stronger ones, thank you heaps. Posted by: Erena Puru |
Hi, I had my childhood sweetheart find me on your site. We hadn't seen or heard from each other for 22 years. He came up and saw me and things just fell into place. We got back together and are getting married in Nov this year. Thanks to the Old Friends Site. I couldn't be happier. Sharon Posted by: Sharon Steel |

I have found my best friend Carol Burnand from Taumarunui High School. I recognised her brother's name, Graeme, and sent him an email. I am so thrilled as I haven't seen or spoken to Carol for forty years. We haven't met up yet, but we will. We are in regular contact through email and have had a rather long chat on the phone.
I have also made contact with my step brother, Robert Dinnington and his wife, Royce. I haven't seen them since they got married 25 years ago.

Thanks to the Old Friends web site I'm hooking up with two old work colleagues. We worked together when we were 16 yrs old and went our separate ways. After 20 odd years we are meeting up again thanks to this site, otherwise we would of never of spoken to each other. So thanks from the bottom of my heart. Christine Posted by: Christine Goodger |
